Jürg Braunschweiler completed a commercial banking apprenticeship at Bank Leu AG in Zurich in the 1970s. After long periods of training and employment at Lloyds Bank Ltd., London and Birmingham, he returned to Bank Leu AG in the early 1980s, where he held a managerial position in financing for commodity trade transactions and export credits until 1988. In this period, he successfully passed the Swiss-certified banking specialist exam and undertook various management training courses. In terms of operations, Jürg Braunschweiler set up a financial company with an integrated family office in Pfäffikon SZ in 2008 and managed this company until he left at the end of 2018. He was also a member of the board of trustees of a large independent collective pension fund foundation from 2008 to 2014, where he was responsible for wealth management. Jürg Braunschweiler also sits on various boards. On 16 May 2018, Jürg Braunschweiler was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors.

Mr Bussmann started his professional career at cooperative banks in Warendorf and Osnabrück. He moved from Germany to Luxembourg in 1993. There he initially worked in DG Bank International SA’s wealth advisory department and then for Credit Suisse Luxemburg SA from 1995 onwards. He also assisted with project work in the areas of tax and philanthropy. In 2007, he took on responsibility for a team of investment advisers at Credit Suisse in Switzerland and led this team until the end of 2009. Mr Bussmann then specialised in providing holistic advice to very wealthy private clients and foundations, primarily from Germany and Switzerland. This resulted in his broad specialist knowledge in asset management, regulatory and tax requirements and extensive experience in sustainable and individual advice.

In March 2023, Ms Ursula Egli was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors. Ms Ursula Egli has over 30 years of experience in the IT and banking industries as COO, CFO and CRO in the areas of IT & operations, audit, finance & corporate governance. As COO, she led business transformations which, in addition to operational restructuring, also included new technologies, such as automation & robotics, and the implementation of complex banking software (Temenos and Avaloq). In her further development as CFO and CRO, she was responsible for P&L, strategy (especially during transformation projects) and M&C activities with a focus on investments as part of the growth strategy. She has many years of experience as an auditor and in stakeholder management (especially with supervisory authorities) and has practical experience in the introduction of modern corporate governance structures and larger regulatory projects (e.g. MiFID II in Germany or FATCA). Ms Ursula Egli is a certified auditor and has been a member of the Seeburger Informatik AG (Switzerland) board of directors since 2021.

Roger Eichenberger

Roger Eichenberger worked at Credit Suisse (Switzerland) AG in various advisory roles in their Private Banking division for over 13 years. Most recently, as an expert relationship manager, he assisted wealthy private clients, corporate clients, associations, foundations and cross-generational family structures with interdisciplinary issues with asset structure optimisation. In addition to conceptual wealth and investment advice, his portfolio also includes advice in the areas of financing and individual pension and succession planning. He also supported corporate clients throughout the cycle from founding to succession and provided targeted assistance in the process of asset transformation, potential restructuring and the configuration of non-mandatory company pension plans. Roger Eichenberger completed his academic training as a Master of Science in Business and Administration at the University of Bern and holds a federal diploma as an Expert in Finance and Investments and the Certified International Wealth Manager diploma CIWM.

Before joining Helvetic Trust, Herbert Erb worked at Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG for 22 years in investment advisory services for the Central Germany market area and over time led a team of up to six investment advisers. This was followed by relationship manager positions at director level for wealthy private clients in the Submarket Germany Onshore team. He has previously worked for Handelsbank Winterthur, Dresdner Bank and UBS, where he also worked as a trader on the ring for Swiss bonds.
Numerous training courses and further education round off his profile, in addition to language trips and stays abroad in various different regions.

He moved to the Swiss branch in 2004 to develop the investment management structure on an international level. He worked as Head of Investment Management Group for Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG from 2007 onwards.

In Switzerland, Fabio Gilardoni was responsible for providing holistic advice to wealthy private clients as a relationship manager in private banking and, in addition to wealth and investment advice, his activities also included the areas of financing and pension and retirement planning. Most recently, Mr Gilardoni was responsible for advising UHNWI clients in Switzerland.

After completing his business education, Kaspar Grob gained extensive international experience in the area of portfolio management. Taking on a leading role, he was jointly responsible for setting up the sales department of a financial institution based in the Far East. Later, as a senior partner, he managed the Zurich branch of an international investment advisory firm and, before founding Helvetic Trust, he was managing director of ZT Zürich Trust.
From 1991 to 2007, Kaspar Grob also held half of the shares in Bernauer AG Elektro-Telecom, which he, together with his business partner and the management team, grew into a leading national company with nine branches. Bernauer AG was taken over by the long-standing managing director and new sole owner in the summer of 2007 through a management buyout and remains an owner-managed company even though it has now been in existence for over 75 years.

Jeremy Grob

Jérémy Grob has 15 years of professional experience in wealth management and sales of digital technologies. His previous positions include Bank Sarasin & Cie, Indeed.com and Helvetic Trust. Among other things, he supported the asset management of Helvetic Trust in the distribution of collective investment schemes.
Jérémy Grob is responsible for the overall support of HNWIs and foundations in the Family Office Services division at Helvetic Trust and supports the senior partners in day-to-day operations. Jérémy Grob is also responsible for the company’s marketing and recruiting and supports Yves Mehmann in the management of in-house crypto solutions.
His profile is rounded off by a commercial apprenticeship followed by a vocational baccalaureate, basic business studies at a university of applied sciences and a SwissBanking/CYP certification. He is currently studying to become a Certified Wealth Advisor IAF.

He moved to the German private bank BHF-BANK AG as senior wealth manager in 2001. There, he was primarily responsible for advising medium-sized companies in the Rhine-Main area. He was in the same role at BHF-BANK (Schweiz) AG in Zurich from 2007.

Camiel Janssen has over 20 years of experience in finance. After completing his studies in economics at the University of Zurich, he started his professional career in corporate banking at UBS in 1996. In 2002, UBS sent him to the Swiss desk in New York for three years, which he also led in the last year of his time abroad. Following his return, he took over responsibility managing sales and distribution for corporate banking in Switzerland. In 2006, he moved to wealth management within UBS, where he was responsible for high net worth clients from the Netherlands as a senior investment adviser, until moving to Helvetic Trust in 2018.
In addition to a Master of Arts from the University of Zurich, Camiel Janssen also holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Finance from the University of Bern, a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester, New York, USA and is a graduate of the Swiss Finance Institute’s Advanced Executive Program.

Didier Jeanjaquet studied business administration at HEC Lausanne. After spending a few years in the watch industry, he moved to the financial sector in 1994, where he was responsible for various investment advisory tasks at home and abroad, first at Credit Suisse and later at UBS.
Didier Jeanjaquet has been with Helvetic Trust from the very beginning. He joined the company as a senior partner soon after it was founded.

02 Koenig Simon

In March 2023, Mr Simon Koenig was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors. Simon Koenig has been CEO and founder of the Lakeward Group since 2016 and has over 25 years of experience in the finance and advisory industry. Before that, Simon Koenig was managing director and a member of the board of directors at a Swiss single family office in Zurich. He was responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation and represented the family office in various direct investment companies (PE, VC, RE). He was CEO and co-investor at Gutburg Immobilien SA between 2009 and 2015, which is a real estate company with around 8,500 residential units in Germany. He successfully led this company until his exit in 2015. Simon Koenig started his career in various roles in asset management, corporate finance, controlling and banking at SKA, Credit Suisse First Bosten, KPMG and Man Investments Plc. Mr Simon Koenig has a Bachelor’s degree from Zurich University of Applied Sciences, specialising in finance, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Europe, the CFA Institute and the Swiss CFA Society. He has been a member of the board of directors at Raiffeisenbank Rapperswil-Jona Genossenschaft since 2016.

In the last nine years before moving to Helvetic Trust, he worked for a cantonal bank, where he provided both international and Swiss clients with personal, tailored and extensive advice in all areas of private banking.

Piotr Kulikowski has over 20 years of experience in international wealth management. Stefano Pierini has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. In 1998, Stefano Pierini moved to the Benelux team in Zurich, which was his professional home for the next 20 years. In this time, he focused on and specialised in wealth management clients domiciled in the Benelux countries and built up extensive expertise relating to these countries. Roles as an investment adviser and head of department of the Benelux team in Zurich allowed him to build a broad network in the Netherlands and Switzerland. After spending 34 years at UBS, he moved to Helvetic Trust in 2018.
Stefano Pierini is a Certified International Investment Analyst CIIA and successfully completed the Swiss Finance Institute Executive Program.

Lars Sommer

Lars Sommer started his career with business training at Credit Suisse and worked for the major bank for a total of six years. Most recently, he was an account manager for the Entrepreneurs & Executives Desk (Private Banking) for three years. Working in tandem with an expert relationship manager, he primarily worked on the operational side and was responsible for day-to-day client book business. The client list primarily included entrepreneurs, wealthy families, SMEs, associations and foundations. The main focus of his work was wealth and investment advice, the development of various financing constructs and everyday banking topics (including FX, securities trading and basic services). He was also responsible for business risk management as regards the market as a whole in an ambitious environment and assisted management in this increasingly important area at many levels.

Michel Tröhler studied law at the University of Fribourg (i.Ue.) and gained his licentiate in 1996.

He moved to the private sector following initial roles as a court lawyer, a lawyer in administration and as editor-in-chief of the specialist magazine sic! at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

Michel Tröhler can look back on over 20 years of experience in asset management, particularly in the management of collective assets (funds). He worked for two banks: Banque Cantonale Vaudoise and SIX SIS AG; two fund management companies: IPConcept (Schweiz) AG (formerly Union Investment [Schweiz] AG) and GAM Investment Management (Switzerland) AG; and a collective assets manager: Vescore AG (formerly Notenstein Asset Management AG).

His clear focus area is financial market law: FIDLEG/FINIG, GWG, FATCA and cross border, and general corporate compliance & governance and risk management.

Following a foray into research and teaching at the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, he became a member of management at the Association of Swiss Asset Managers (SAM) as Head of Global Activities in German-speaking Switzerland.

At the end of 2021, Michel Tröhler decided to return to practice, once again offering the private sector his specialist knowledge and project management experience. As a senior consultant at Alithis AG in 2022, Michel Tröhler was in charge of FINIG applications sent to FINMA by various asset managers.

From 2023, he headed up the control functions (compliance including GWG and risk management) for several licensed asset managers or acted as a deputy. At Helvetic Trust AG, he has been responsible for company risk management since 1 June 2023.
