Nicandro Barile trained as a banker at Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft (now UBS). In his career in finance, which spans more than 30 years, he has gained international experience in New York and Milan. After several years working in investment banking at Bank Vontobel, Cheuvreux (Schweiz) SA and Bank Sal. Oppenheim (Schweiz) AG, he was responsible for looking after wealthy Swiss private individuals in wealth management at Hyposwiss (now St. Galler KB). His profound financial knowledge, particularly in the area of Swiss stocks, is rounded off by experience in asset management serving institutional clients.

Jonathan Berhe began his professional career by training as a banker at a Swiss private bank in Zurich. After completing his degree in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Winterthur, he worked for four years at LGT Capital Partners in the Finance & Controlling department. After completing his Master’s degree in Finance at IE Business School in Madrid, he gained his first experience in investment management during an internship in the Private Debt Deal Team at LGT Capital Partners. After his return to Switzerland, he sourced, evaluated and managed direct, fund and co-investments in private equity at an independent asset manager in Zurich.

Jürg Braunschweiler completed a commercial banking apprenticeship at Bank Leu AG in Zurich in the 1970s. After long periods of training and employment at Lloyds Bank Ltd., London and Birmingham, he returned to Bank Leu AG in the early 1980s, where he held a managerial position in financing for commodity trade transactions and export credits until 1988. In this period, he successfully passed the Swiss-certified banking specialist exam and undertook various management training courses. In terms of operations, Jürg Braunschweiler set up a financial company with an integrated family office in Pfäffikon SZ in 2008 and managed this company until he left at the end of 2018. He was also a member of the board of trustees of a large independent collective pension fund foundation from 2008 to 2014, where he was responsible for wealth management. Jürg Braunschweiler also sits on various boards. On 16 May 2018, Jürg Braunschweiler was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors.

30 years of experience in banking, including 25 years in wealth advisory services and management. Training as a banker and certified banking specialist and foundation adviser in Germany. Mr Bussmann started his professional career at cooperative banks in Warendorf and Osnabrück. He moved from Germany to Luxembourg in 1993. There he initially worked in DG Bank International SA’s wealth advisory department and then for Credit Suisse Luxemburg SA from 1995 onwards. He also assisted with project work in the areas of tax and philanthropy. In 2007, he took on responsibility for a team of investment advisers at Credit Suisse in Switzerland and led this team until the end of 2009. Mr Bussmann then specialised in providing holistic advice to very wealthy private clients and foundations, primarily from Germany and Switzerland. This resulted in his broad specialist knowledge in asset management, regulatory and tax requirements and extensive experience in sustainable and individual advice.

Monika Damico-Sacco is a trained banking specialist with 30 years of experience as an assistant in private banking. Her professional career started with training at SBG (now UBS). Other companies she has worked for include Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG, Deka (Swiss) Private Bank AG and Bank Coop (now Bank Cler).

In March 2023, Ms Ursula Egli was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors. Ms Ursula Egli has over 30 years of experience in the IT and banking industries as COO, CFO and CRO in the areas of IT & operations, audit, finance & corporate governance. As COO, she led business transformations which, in addition to operational restructuring, also included new technologies, such as automation & robotics, and the implementation of complex banking software (Temenos and Avaloq). In her further development as CFO and CRO, she was responsible for P&L, strategy (especially during transformation projects) and M&C activities with a focus on investments as part of the growth strategy. She has many years of experience as an auditor and in stakeholder management (especially with supervisory authorities) and has practical experience in the introduction of modern corporate governance structures and larger regulatory projects (e.g. MiFID II in Germany or FATCA). Ms Ursula Egli is a certified auditor and has been a member of the Seeburger Informatik AG (Switzerland) board of directors since 2021.

Roger Eichenberger worked at Credit Suisse (Switzerland) AG in various advisory roles in their Private Banking division for over 13 years. Most recently, as an expert relationship manager, he assisted wealthy private clients, corporate clients, associations, foundations and cross-generational family structures with interdisciplinary issues with asset structure optimisation. In addition to conceptual wealth and investment advice, his portfolio also includes advice in the areas of financing and individual pension and succession planning. He also supported corporate clients throughout the cycle from founding to succession and provided targeted assistance in the process of asset transformation, potential restructuring and the configuration of non-mandatory company pension plans. Roger Eichenberger completed his academic training as a Master of Science in Business and Administration at the University of Bern and holds a federal diploma as an Expert in Finance and Investments and the Certified International Wealth Manager diploma CIWM.

Born in Germany, he completed his training as a banker at Deutsche Bank AG and then studied economics at the University of Konstanz. To date, his career in finance has been shaped by 14 years at Deutsche Bank AG, where he furthered his knowledge in various areas and held management positions. In Germany, Kay Fischer was an investment manager/relationship manager in private banking, responsible for providing wealthy private clients with holistic advice. He moved to the Swiss branch in 2004 to develop the investment management structure on an international level. He worked as Head of Investment Management Group for Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG from 2007 onwards.

Ruth Fischer began her career in finance 25 years ago at Luzerner Kantonalbank. From 2001 onwards, she worked as an analyst for the Swiss stock exchange SIX and for the leading international derivatives exchange Eurex. During this time, she also completed the federal diploma as an Expert in Finance and Investments and expanded this to include the Certified International Wealth Manager diploma CIWM. Before moving to Helvetic Trust, Ruth Fischer was responsible for looking after institutional clients as part of the management team at UBS AG. Her extensive financial knowledge is rounded off by experience in the areas of portfolio management and customer service. Our business partners also benefit from her expertise in family office services.

Urs Frutig can look back on a long career in banking. After completing his basic training as a banker at a cantonal bank, he went on to complete further training in business administration and finance at the University of St. Gallen. As a member of management and a board member of listed banks, and CEO of a major financial institution, he brings with him extensive experience in all areas of banking. Before moving to Helvetic Trust, he was managing director and head of branch for a private bank in Bern for several years.

The Swiss/Italian dual citizen who grew up in Italy completed his Master’s in Banking and Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in 2008. After finishing his studies, Fabio Gilardoni worked for various companies in the financial sector as a hedge fund consultant and adviser to institutional investors. His career was then shaped by nine years at Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG, where he expanded his knowledge in a number of areas. In addition to numerous training courses and further education, he has completed numerous language trips and stays abroad. In Switzerland, Fabio Gilardoni was responsible for providing holistic advice to wealthy private clients as a relationship manager in private banking and, in addition to wealth and investment advice, his activities also included the areas of financing and pension and retirement planning. Most recently, Mr Gilardoni was responsible for advising UHNWI clients in Switzerland.

After completing his business education, Kaspar Grob gained extensive international experience in the area of portfolio management. Taking on a leading role, he was jointly responsible for setting up the sales department of a financial institution based in the Far East. Later, as a senior partner, he managed the Zurich branch of an international investment advisory firm and, before founding Helvetic Trust, he was managing director of ZT Zürich Trust.
From 1991 to 2007, Kaspar Grob also held half of the shares in Bernauer AG Elektro-Telecom, which he, together with his business partner and the management team, grew into a leading national company with nine branches. Bernauer AG was taken over by the long-standing managing director and new sole owner in the summer of 2007 through a management buyout and remains an owner-managed company even though it has now been in existence for over 75 years.

Jérémy Grob has over 15 years of professional experience in wealth- and account management. He is responsible for the comprehensive support of high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and foundations in the area of Family Office Services and supports the senior partners in day-to-day operations. He is a trained commercial clerk with a vocational baccalaureate, certified by SwissBanking/CYP, a certified wealth advisor IAF and is currently undergoing further training to become a certified financial advisor IAF.

Paulina Golemo has over 15 years of professional experience in private banking and corporate design. She started her career in Credit Suisse’s Design Services department in Wroclaw (Poland) and made her way to the Private Banking team in Zurich. She has been working for Helvetic Trust since 2019 and specialises in looking after Polish clients. Paulina Golemo completed a Master of Economy at the Wroclaw School of Economics.

Founding Spectralwaves was inspired by a unique development of Dr. Laszlo Gömöri: his own, proprietary statistical timing methodology. Mr. Gömöri has over 20+years of experience in financial markets, working for UBS, Sarasin and Pictet, where he held the CMO position. He holds a Doctorate in Corporate Finance from the University of Basel and an MBA from Babson College (USA). In 2010 Dr. Gömöri developed his own proprietary statistical timing methodology. After successful testing, the technology was computerized and Spectralwaves came to life.Since 2015, it is assisting institutional clients, providing them with a complex service to time markets.

Roger Haffter completed his training as a banker at Schweizerischer Bankverein (now UBS). In his career in finance, which spans more than 30 years, he has worked at various Swiss wealth management banks (most recently at Bank Bär). After training as a banker, he specialised in finance and accounting and is a proven expert in this field. He rounded off his depth of knowledge in this area by training to become a Certified Specialist in Finance and Accounting.

From 1988 onwards, he worked for Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt in private banking, before managing corporate clients at the Frankfurt regional branch in 1997.
He moved to the German private bank BHF-BANK AG as senior wealth manager in 2001. There, he was primarily responsible for advising medium-sized companies in the Rhine-Main area. He was in the same role at BHF-BANK (Schweiz) AG in Zurich from 2007.

Camiel Janssen has over 20 years of experience in finance. After completing his studies in economics at the University of Zurich, he started his professional career in corporate banking at UBS in 1996. In 2002, UBS sent him to the Swiss desk in New York for three years, which he also led in the last year of his time abroad. Following his return, he took over responsibility managing sales and distribution for corporate banking in Switzerland. In 2006, he moved to wealth management within UBS, where he was responsible for high net worth clients from the Netherlands as a senior investment adviser, until moving to Helvetic Trust in 2018.
In addition to a Master of Arts from the University of Zurich, Camiel Janssen also holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Finance from the University of Bern, a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester, New York, USA and is a graduate of the Swiss Finance Institute’s Advanced Executive Program.

Didier Jeanjaquet studied business administration at HEC Lausanne. After spending a few years in the watch industry, he moved to the financial sector in 1994, where he was responsible for various investment advisory tasks at home and abroad, first at Credit Suisse and later at UBS.
Didier Jeanjaquet has been with Helvetic Trust from the very beginning. He joined the company as a senior partner soon after it was founded.

In March 2023, Mr Simon Koenig was elected to Helvetic Trust AG’s board of directors. Simon Koenig has been CEO and founder of the Lakeward Group since 2016 and has over 25 years of experience in the finance and advisory industry. Before that, Simon Koenig was managing director and a member of the board of directors at a Swiss single family office in Zurich. He was responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation and represented the family office in various direct investment companies (PE, VC, RE). He was CEO and co-investor at Gutburg Immobilien SA between 2009 and 2015, which is a real estate company with around 8,500 residential units in Germany. He successfully led this company until his exit in 2015. Simon Koenig started his career in various roles in asset management, corporate finance, controlling and banking at SKA, Credit Suisse First Bosten, KPMG and Man Investments Plc. Mr Simon Koenig has a Bachelor’s degree from Zurich University of Applied Sciences, specialising in finance, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Europe, the CFA Institute and the Swiss CFA Society. He has been a member of the board of directors at Raiffeisenbank Rapperswil-Jona Genossenschaft since 2016.

Stephan Konrad started his career at SBG (now UBS), where, in addition to qualifying as a banker, he also completed courses and further training, including in leadership and portfolio management, before finally finding a passion for comprehensive and personal client advice in private banking. His 40-year career also includes roles at HSBC and Lloyds Bank, where he looked after international clients. Stephan Konrad is a graduate of the Swiss Banking School (SFI). In the last nine years before moving to Helvetic Trust, he worked for a cantonal bank, where he provided both international and Swiss clients with personal, tailored and extensive advice in all areas of private banking.

Piotr Kulikowski has over 20 years of experience in international wealth management. Before joining Helvetic Trust, he worked for Credit Suisse AG for ten years as a senior private banker in emerging markets. His key skills include assisting family-run companies and the related implementation of tailored investment and wealth strategies. Before joining Helvetic Trust, Piotr Kulikowski gained a wealth of experience at Citibank, ABN Amro Bank and Credit Suisse AG. His stays abroad took him to New York and Bucharest, among others. Piotr Kulikowski has a Master of Economics degree in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics. He also studied European economics at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics.

Yves Mehmann completed his business training at the School of Economics in Baden. He then started his career in finance at UBS AG with training and certification as a relationship manager. He was responsible for providing comprehensive and holistic advice to wealthy clients in the Zurich financial centre for a number of years before deciding to move to Credit Suisse. His job profile stayed the same, while his specialisation in the Swiss market continued to grow and, in addition to wealth and investment advice, also included financing, pension and retirement planning. Numerous training courses and further education round off his profile, in addition to various language trips and stays abroad.

Fabio Mezzasalma began his career with an apprenticeship at Credit Suisse and worked for the bank for over five years. Most recently, he served as an Account Manager in the Entrepreneurs & Executives Desk for two years. In close collaboration with an experienced Relationship Manager, he was primarily responsible for the operational management of the client portfolio and supported entrepreneurs and executives in portfolio analysis and real estate financing.After his time at Credit Suisse, he joined an independent asset management firm in Zurich, specializing in managing multi-asset portfolios for both Swiss and American clients. There, he advanced from Assistant Portfolio Manager to Junior Portfolio Manager. In this role, he conducted detailed analyses of sectors, financial products, and individual stocks, prepared comprehensive quarterly reports for clients, and was responsible for the precise execution of trades across various asset classes.Most recently, Fabio worked as a foreign exchange dealer at a global financial services provider in Zurich. In this role, he was responsible for advising international companies on managing currency risks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (International Management) with a focus on Banking and Finance from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).

Leandra Oertig started her career in finance at Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG, where she was responsible for providing holistic advice to entrepreneurs and members of management over the last few years. In addition to personal wealth and investment advice, her work also included advice in the areas of lending and individual pension and succession planning. As well as providing wealthy private clients with support and assistance, she was also responsible for providing small to medium-sized companies, associations and foundations with strategic advice and developing tailored investment and wealth strategies for them. Her Master of Science in Business and Administration at the University of Bern, the federal diploma as an Expert in Finance and Investments and the Certified International Wealth Manager diploma CIWM, in addition to various additional training courses, mean she has extensive financial knowledge in the area of holistic customer service and the individual needs that result from this. Stefano Pierini has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. After successfully training as a banker at Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft (now UBS), he worked in various departments at UBS to gain a broad basic understanding of banking. After training as an investment and financial adviser at UBS and working as a portfolio manager for two years, he started his career as an investment adviser for Swiss and international private banking clients.
In 1998, Stefano Pierini moved to the Benelux team in Zurich, which was his professional home for the next 20 years. In this time, he focused on and specialised in wealth management clients domiciled in the Benelux countries and built up extensive expertise relating to these countries. Roles as an investment adviser and head of department of the Benelux team in Zurich allowed him to build a broad network in the Netherlands and Switzerland. After spending 34 years at UBS, he moved to Helvetic Trust in 2018.

Nima Schiess has a very long track record in the financial sector, including business training in an international foreign bank. Her career and many years of experience in roles of responsibility, and her in-depth knowledge of the markets and all financial products – which she acquired through various external training courses, among other things – make her ideally suited to be a compliance officer.

Lars Sommer started his career with business training at Credit Suisse and worked for the major bank for a total of six years. Most recently, he was an account manager for the Entrepreneurs & Executives Desk (Private Banking) for three years. Working in tandem with an expert relationship manager, he primarily worked on the operational side and was responsible for day-to-day client book business. The client list primarily included entrepreneurs, wealthy families, SMEs, associations and foundations. The main focus of his work was wealth and investment advice, the development of various financing constructs and everyday banking topics (including FX, securities trading and basic services). He was also responsible for business risk management as regards the market as a whole in an ambitious environment and assisted management in this increasingly important area at many levels.

Raffaella De Stefano has completed thorough business training and has extensive professional experience as an assistant. Until 2015, Raffaella De Stefano worked as an assistant in private banking for HNWI clients at Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG.
